The ‘cold-chain’ is the system of transporting and
storing vaccines within 2°C to
8°C from the place of manufacture to the point of
administration. Vaccines may quickly lose
their potency outside this range (extract from

Australian Immunisation Handbook).

Temperature Monitoring System fully automates vaccine temperature
monitoring and recording 24/7, and provides auditable
records. The
unique alarm handling provides the alarm duration, min/max
temperatures and temperature profile when storage
temperatures exceed 2-8oC, and alarm alerting can be
activated for peace of mind. Automated temperature mapping
enables the mapping of the fridge/freezer/coolroom
for optimal performance. The optional control function
can prevent storage temperatures falling below 2oC.
The
systems are designed specifically
for the medical industry to help General Practices achieve
and maintain conformance to vaccine storage standards (RACGP
standard 5.2.4).
