Network Systems

 

The Network systems enable central administration of a cold chain management process that spans multiple locations.

The Point-to-Point /Multi Point systems at each site are connected via the Internet, a Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN) to an administration centre.

Temperature measurements are automatically collected per site and archived to the administration centre periodically.

Network System Features

  • Administration centre can monitor temperature readings and alarms of any logger connected to the network.
  • Administration centre can reconfigure any logger connected to the network.
  • User can monitor temperature/alarms of any logger connected to the network from a remote PC with internet access.
  • Detailed graphs and reports can be viewed or generated by specifying the logger and sensor identity.

 

Mains powered and battery powered loggers are supported by the network system. For both systems, the loggers can be connected to a computer through any of the following interfaces:

  • Wired access – Serial port access to the Logger via a serial cable. Maximum distance between logger and PC is up to 10m only.
  • Wireless access – Communication between logger and PC up to 100m line of sight, longer distances up to 5km possible with high gain wireless modules with external antenna.
  • GPRS access – Communication between logger and PC can be established anywhere within coverage of the public mobile network.
  • Ethernet access – Communication between logger and PC can be established by connecting the logger directly to any ethernet port on a computer network.

  • Real time display of temperature readings on PC.
  • Graphical display of temperature readings on PC.
  • Simplified alarm tracking by viewing alarm list.
  • Ability to determine alarm duration, min./max. temperature and temperature profile for alarms.
  • Ability to display daily/weekly/monthly temperature readings.
  • Ability to add notes and comments to temperature readings and alarms.
  • Statistics for min., max., average temperature.
  • Ability to display data in table form eg, date, time, temperature readings, comments.
  • Single click of mouse to perform data back-up and removal of redundant data.
  • Send graph or report  via email at the click of the mouse.
  • A floor plan tool assists the user in monitoring their overall temperature monitoring system with graphical representation of the location of all sensors and status information for each sensor.

Logger Features

  • 4-line LCD display on logger.
  • Measures temperature from -55oC to 125oC.
  • Pre-calibrated digital sensors
        > (standard) +/- 0.5oC accuracy
        > (enhanced) +/- 0.2oC accuracy
  • Supports 1 to 4 external sensors.
  • Unique alarm handling capabilities with the ability to configure upper/lower alarm limits. Each time the alarm limits are exceeded, the logger will provide the time stamp of the alarm, the alarm duration, the min/max temperature, and temperature profile during the alarm condition.
  • User friendly Menu system on logger for on screen reading of temperature logs, alarm logs and for configuring logger.
  • User selectable logging interval, alarm delay interval and out of range logging interval.
  • Optional auto dialler that can call pre-programmed phone numbers for remote alarm monitoring.
  • Mains powered with battery back-up for continuous operation.
  • Flashing alarm indicator.
